How do you make a window on a macbook go to full screen?

I just got a Macbook today, and I want the windows to go to full screen (like on a normal computer), but it wont.
There is a red, yellow, and green circle on the top left of the window, but the red closes the screen, the yellow minimizes it, and the green makes it smaller.
Is making the screen full even an option on a Macbook? It's really bothering me.

  1. Take the bottom right corner of the window and drag, that is all you can do. Since it sounds like you this is your fist Mac you can apple+tab and switch from window to window. I know it sounds like it sucks to do at first but if you think about there is alot of wasted space when the window is maximized.

  2. New users guide to Leopard

Just click on the bottom right corner of the window and drag it to maximise the window.

  3. in the bottom right corner there are like three little lines formed like a pyramid so you just click and drag that to make it as big as you want.
