How much to fix MacBook Pro cracked glass?

Only the glass appears to be cracked because the picture is still fine. Is there any way to get it replaced for free? I stepped on the computer so it most likely is not covered by warranty.

  1. About the only thing you can hope for is if the credit card that you bought it with will cover replacement and it’s still within the grace period for such a claim.

    If you paid by credit card with a purchase protection plan, and it’s within 90 days of purchase, it might be worth a shot to give them a call to see if you’re covered.

  2. unfortunate… how badly is it cracked, I don’t know exactly how much it will cost, but prolly somewhere around $500-1000

  3. Check the Mac repair shops listed on ‘www.lowendmac.com’. Most will repair it for 1/2 of what Apple would charge.
