Can I use my MacBook Pro plugged in with the battery in?

My friend told me his battery got rooted because he left the battery in while it was fully charged and plugged in the wall, he's got a HP tablet.

  1. Leaving you MacBook plugged in all the time will not kill your battery. When the laptop is connected to the electrical outlet, it will only draw power from that. The battery is never used until there’s no power from the AC adapter (unplugging it, power outage).

Also, you can always use a laptop when it is charging. This is no different from using the cell phone, PS3 controller, or iPod with its charger connected and charging while in use.

  2. Yes. Besides he has an HP you have a Mac. Big difference.
