just go with the macbook and get the 100 off student discount i assuming your are since you want to do it for homework ext….but the macbook will do you just find i recieved the student discount in only paid 963.00 for mind(including tax which is about 63 dollars)but 963 dollars was not that bad also if you want the macbook pro you can buy it rerburished for 999.00 with tax.
I would recommend the aluminum one because Cod4 is very graphics intensive, if you weren’t to use it to play Cod4 you would be ok but the Aluminum machine is more powerful and has better graphics. just so you know pc’s will game better and are much cheaper but if you really want a mac you could try buying a refurbished one from the Apple website. They will be cheaper than a new one and are often of a better quality because they are throughly checked to make sure everything is in perfect working order during the refurbishing process. You can find the Apple referb store here: ‘http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac?mco=OTY2ODY3Nw’
The white Macbook and the base Macbook pro are basically the same computer. They have the same processor, the same graphics card, and same amount of memory. The only differences are the Macbook pro has a back-lit keyboard, a fire-wire port, sd card reader and of course it has an aluminum body. And actually the Macbook has a larger hard drive 250gb vs 160gb. Laptops are not really ideal for playing games, but they are alright for light gaming. I guess it comes down to the looks of the laptop, I personally prefer the look of the Macbook pro, and the back-lit keyboard comes in handy when working in the dark. If the looks of the laptop are not important to you, or you like the look of the white Macbook I say get one. You’ll never regret getting a Macbook, I love mine. Take a look at the link below, it’s a comparison of the Macbook and the Macbook pro.
