How tough are the new unibody MacBook Pros?

I am interested in buying one, but how well does that aluminum hold up? Only post if you own one and are typing on it right now! :)

  1. I’ve had my 13inch aluminum macbook since December 08, back before it was a macbook pro(basically the same thing). Anyway, I’ve had laptops in the past where the trackpad buttons would break or the screen hinges would start to give out causing the screen to fall if not held in place by something.
    But my macbook has not had one issue since I purchased it. It’s the best laptop I have ever owned.

  2. haha Yes, I’m typing on mine right now. I have the 13" model and it’s been great! The plastic ones "flexed" and small pieces of plastic sometimes chipped away from the front corners. I have no complaints at all about my current MacBook. It’s great!

    I think that now is the best time to buy one. The prices are great and the new features (such as extended battery life, increased speed, SD card reader, etc) are amazing.
