What’s the best cheap RAM for a unibody Macbook?

I have a new aluminum Macbook with 2 gigs of ram and would like to upgrade to 4 gigs. What would be the best cheap RAM to buy to upgrade?

  1. Crucial.com
Run the scanner and see what they recommend.

  2. Check out newegg.com and look for ddr3 laptop ram

  3. check out play.com, they’ve got a deal on 2gb so-dimms

  4. OWC is the best place for Mac-tuned RAM. You can find them at http://www.macsales.com and search for your make and model: they will show you exactly what’s Apple-approved for your MacBook but at a killer price. I got 4GB of 866MHz RAM for my iMac and it was only $47 with shipping.

Looks like the 4GB MacBook (late 2008) kit is $68:

  5. It’s very important to get quality RAM for your macbook. Use crucial RAMs. They have a tool that helps you figure out the right RAM for you:

I just upgraded my macbook pro to 4GB of RAM and it’s running GREAT!
