I am planning to buy a newly designed aluminium Macbook. But I was wondering whether (as per the rumor) the new macbooks and MBP's are produced in a U.S manufacturing facility from start to finish?

No, I own a MacBook aluminum, and it clearly states in the box that it is designed in California, manufactured in China.

Actually, they are in fact produced in the apple factory in California. Everything is made right here in the US of A
Everything made my apple clearly states "designed by apple in California" (of course they make sure this is written in big bold font and is easy to find) and then somewhere else written in tiny font in a not so easy to find location it says "made in china." So no, the mbp’s are NOT made in the US, they are made in China.
